The Ghana amputee national team express their neglection by the Sports Ministry to the extend that they had to buy their jerseys from Kantamanto for the 2024 African Aputee Football Cup of Nations (AAFCON).

But the Minister for Youth and Sports Mustapha Ussif, rebuke the team for taking funds from outside sources before they had a former meeting to present the AFCON trophy.

This came after the team received a $10,000 donation from the former president of Ghana John Mahama, whiles the Ministry is demanding an account of every spent of the amount.

The Ghana amputee team secured a 2:1 win over Morocco to lift the trophy.

Mr Stephen Richard Obeng, head coach of the amputee team challenges the decision and told Accra’s Starr Fm that the Ministry on only paid for the participation fee and airlin tickets without providing them with any from their budget.
