The reason behind his action was because they booed him during the match between Legon Cities and Kotoko.
Before signing to Legon Cities, the player was in talks with Kotoko and a deal was almost signed till Legon Cities came in with their deal which he signed.

For this reason some supporters might have been hurt by his decision hence making them boo at him during the match.
He called them hypocrites because according to him most of them boast with his name when they travel abroad and when they see him they hail him but when they meet other people on the field is a different thing altogether.
