A doping doctor with the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF), Dr. Joseph Kabungo has reportedly died shortly after fans invaded the pitch moments after Ghana pipped Nigeria to the 2022 World Cup on Tuesday.

Kabungo, a Zambian medical practitioner, was said to have died as a result of the stampede that occurred at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja before the commencement of the match.
