Ex First Lady, Theresa Kufuor is dead. The resigned medical attendant and birthing specialist was spouse of the second Leader of the Fourth Republic of Ghana, President John Agyekum Kufuor.
She passed on at the age of 88, a source near the Kufuor family has affirmed to Asaase News.
She kicked the bucket today Sunday 1 October 2023, 24 days to her 89th birthday celebration, the report added.
Having secured the bunch on September 8, 1962, the two scarcely three weeks back commended their 61st commemoration as a team.
The previous president once uncovered that he wedded Theresa a year after they got to know one another.
In a meeting with Adom television’s Afia Amankwah Tamakloe, Kufuor revealed that they met at a Republic Day Commemoration Dance in 1961 in London.
He added that he had quite recently finished his regulation course that very year Theresa completed her nursing program in Scotland.
“We got talking at the party and became companions who got hitched in 1962 and brought forth our most memorable kid in 1963, the second in 1964,” Myjoyonline cited him to have said.
