E-levy Deductions To Start In May – Finance Minister Hints. Finance Minister Kenneth Ofori-Atta has hinted that deductions with the e-levy will start in May, all things being equal.
He said that is the assurance he has been given by the Controller and Accountant General and the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), who will be the revenue collectors.
The E- levy Bill was passed yesterday in Parliament. The protests by the Minority in Parliament and 90% of Ghanaians didn’t stop the Majority from passing the Bill
They claim that the funds from the E-levy are going to be used to create job opportunities, fix roads, build schools among others.
Meanwhile, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is scheduled to be in Parliament later today, Wednesday, March 30, to deliver the state-of-the-nation address.
It It will be the first this year that the President will be in the House for the Article 67 requirement.
