Showering praises to the dancehall music icon Shatta Wale is Nigerian musician Mr Eazi. According to him Shatta Wale is smart and therefore describing him as exceptional.
“Shatta Wale for some time and can confidently attest to his greatness, not only as a musician but also as a businessman and a genuine friend.” Mr. Eazi. Revealing that although Shatta Wale takes his business seriously, the dancehall star has never charged him a fee to perform at any of his shows.
Speaking during a livestream with Made In Ghana, Mr. Eazi explained why he gave his all during this year’s successful ShattaFest, which generated significant discussion across social media platforms.
He disclosed that while he normally pays artistes who perform at his events, Shatta Wale has consistently shown him love by appearing at his shows and performing without demanding payment.
Recounting one such experience, Mr. Eazi said he was performing when the audience suddenly erupted into screams. Curious about the reaction, he turned around and was surprised to see Shatta Wale had arrived to support him without prior notice.
“I was just performing and suddenly people started screaming. I wondered what was going on until I turned back, only to see that Shatta had come there. He came to support me and didn’t even inform me. We didn’t have any conversation about the show,” he recounted.
He further emphasized the dancehall star’s generosity, stating: “A lot of the time, I do shows and you see artistes there; I pay them, but I’ve never paid Shatta Wale to perform. He would just come there to show me, love.”
Beyond his generosity, Mr. Eazi also challenged the perception that Shatta Wale is merely a controversial or unpredictable personality.
According to him, although some people view the Ghanaian musician as crazy or a live wire, there is much more to his personality than meets the eye.
“A lot of people feel like Shatta Wale is crazy or like a live wire, but he’s one of the smartest people I’ve ever known. He’s one of the most realistic people I know,” Mr. Eazi stated.
His remarks highlight the strong bond between the two musicians, with Mr. Eazi praising Shatta Wale not only for his musical talent but also for his business acumen, generosity, and unwavering support for his friends.
